Laura Domsky - Our intern from Bilbao and her exciting experiences at LEWO
As part of a special project with the German school in Bilbao and the Trier Economic Development Agency, we had the pleasure of welcoming 16-year-old student Laura Domsky for a three-week internship at LEWO Media. The initiative offers Spanish students the opportunity to get to know the working environment outside their home country and to promote German-Spanish exchange. Laura, who is passionate about the world of marketing, spent three weeks gaining insights into the future of marketing and practical experience to help guide her career.
Laura's view of modern marketing
During her internship, Laura helped us in particular to expand our presence on social media. With her youthful perspective, she brought fresh ideas and advised us on how to target our audience. It was exciting to see how she critically and creatively reflected on our existing approaches. Her ideas inspired us to adopt a young and dynamic perspective, which is particularly important in the field of social media.
A cultural exchange with added value
However, Laura's internship was not just a learning experience for her - we also benefited from her visit. Through the exchange with her, we gained valuable insights into the Spanish culture and its working world, which were particularly enriching for our internationally oriented company. The enthusiasm and curiosity that Laura brought to every task was inspiring and showed once again how beneficial intercultural encounters can be.
Reception with the Lord Mayor
At the end of her internship, we were invited to attend the reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of Trier, Wolfram Leibe, with Laura. The event, which was held in cooperation with the Trier Economic Development Agency, provided an opportunity for an interesting exchange between partner companies, interns and the city administration. Mr. Leibe spoke about the importance of projects like this one for German-Spanish relations and emphasized the importance of giving young people international experience. The exchange was inspiring and confirmed the value of initiatives that give young people the opportunity to immerse themselves in another culture and get to know working life in Germany.
Conclusion: A successful exchange
Laura leaves us with new impressions and knowledge in the field of marketing, and we are sure that she is well prepared for her future career with her newly gained experience. The cooperation with the Trier Economic Development Agency and the German school in Bilbao is very important to us, and we look forward to continuing to welcome students from Spain. Projects like this show that intercultural exchange and education across borders create the best conditions for a sustainable working world.
